Juxtapositioned next to the high-rise buildings of Canary Wharf, you’ll find the charming Mudchute Park and Farm. It’s our favourite city farm and a popular attraction for local kids, providing them with an opportunity to interact with animals and learn about farm life. Children can feed and pet the animals, including sheep, goats, and pigs. There’s also a riding school on site where kids can take horseback riding lessons.

Here are some of the things you can see and do on Mudchute Farm:

• Meet over 100 animals, including pigs, sheep, goats, cows, ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits, and even llamas. You can feed them, pet them, or just admire them from a safe distance. Don’t forget to say hello to the rare breeds that are part of the conservation program.
• Explore 32 acres of countryside, with meadows, woodlands, ponds, and gardens. You can enjoy the views of Canary Wharf and the Thames, or just relax in the fresh air. You might spot some wildlife too, like birds, butterflies, and bees.
• Learn about farming and nature at the education centre, where you can join workshops, courses, and events for all ages. You can also volunteer at the farm and help with the daily tasks, such as feeding, grooming, and mucking out.
• Have a picnic or a snack at the café, where you can find delicious homemade food and drinks. You can also buy some farm produce, such as eggs, honey, and wool.
