Parliament Hill Playground is really well maintained and you can safely let the kids roam around freely without being too worried. We also love how well planned Parliament Hill Playground is. Different sections are divided into separate play areas for older and younger kids, making it a really safe place to take kids of all ages.

An advantage for nature-loving families is how easy it is to combine a visit to the playground with a hike in the wonderful Hampstead Heath Park.

After a long and muddy hike through Hampstead Heath Park, we were happy to see that the kids still had some energy left to enjoy the playground. After reaching the Parliament Hill viewpoint, we climbed down the steep hill towards the field with the playground right next to it.

For slightly older kids, the big climbing frame looking like a fort is great fun. It felt well maintained and secure, just about challenging enough for a six-year-old.

For our toddler the sandpit was a winner, using pulleys that could be filled. Luckily little brother was well dressed in his rubber rain pants which came to good use after rolling around in mud and sand the whole day. On the other hand, rubber is not really the best material when it comes to friction. Going down the slide was really slow motion…

The climbing frame for younger kids also felt really safe and well maintained. It just feels great when you can trust the equipment and don’t need to be on constant edge.

As for a conclusion we really enjoyed the Parliament Hill Playground. Being so close to Hampstead Heath Park means you can plan a really nice day out in the fresh air with the kids.
