Route Description
Regent’s Canal is a 14 km (8.6 miles) waterway that runs from Paddington to Limehouse, passing through some of London’s most vibrant and diverse neighbourhoods. The canal has a towpath that is shared by cyclists and pedestrians, so you need to be careful and courteous when riding. The route offers a glimpse of London’s history and culture, as you pass by Little Venice, Camden Lock, London Zoo, King’s Cross and Victoria Park. You can also see colourful houseboats, street art, markets and cafes along the way.

- Suggested duration: 1 hour when cycling, 2 hours walking
- Terrain: Flat path except for going down and up from the canal towpath
- Traffic-free? Shared paths with pedestrians, crossing some roads in Maida Vale
