Family Holiday Destinations

Travelling with kids can be both challenging and incredibly rewarding. Here are some of our top tips when it comes to our favourite family holiday destinations!

Svalbard is a remarkable family holiday destination if you love to be out in wild nature!

We love everything that London has to offer when it comes to History and culture, but Scandinavia is our number one choice as a family holiday destination experiencing nature. In Norway, you’ll find spectacular fjords like the Sognefjord and Hardangerfjord. The mountains are great for hiking in the summer as well as child-friendly ski slopes in winter. Or what about visiting a remote Mountain Farm or a Viking Village deep inside the fjords?

In Denmark, you can enjoy cool urban life in Copenhagen and wonderful sandy beaches on the coast. Sweden’s extensive archipelago is a summer favourite, as well as all their popular amusement parks such as Gothenburg’s Liseberg.

In Norway, the slopes are less steep than in the alps which are really good when skiing with children. This is from the ski resort Trysil where you can enjoy a combination of cross-country and downhill skiing.

As a family, we are like having an outdoors lifestyle, so the majority of our reviews will be focused on nature or animal-related themes. At the same time, there are some really cool cities to visit across the Nordic countries that we hope to cover as much as possible. We hope you’ll enjoy our reviews of child-friendly places to visit in Scandinavia, and perhaps inspire you to visit a place or two.
